Detail EXFO Access OTDR — FTB-720C
The C Series— Optimized Hardware for Enhanced Optical Performances
EXFO’ s FTB-720C OTDR helps you boost test productivity in any access network application. With up to 36 dB dynamic range, an exceptional 0.8 m event dead zone, and a 3 m attenuation dead zone, the FTB-720C enables you to easily locate and characterize all events between the transmitter and the central office' s fiber distribution panel. Such optical performances come in handy in all fronthaul/ backhaul ( FTTA, FTTT, RRH and DAS) applications, where you need to locate and identify closely spaced events on short fiber links.
Singlemode and Live Fiber Testing
The FTB-720C model offers singlemode test functionalities, which are ideal for assessing quality and certifying private networks' and data centers' singlemode fiber links. This model also features a filtered 1625 nm port for in-service troubleshooting of live networks, including P2P, FTTx and PON, making it a versatile day-to-day tester for the access network.
iOLM-Ready to Boost Your Productivity
As per every FTB-1 OTDR module, the 720C is iOLM-ready. By choosing the intelligent Optical Link Mapper ( iOLM) patented application, the user will instantly turn complex, traditional OTDR testing into a fast, one-touch, multiwavelength and multiple-acquisition advanced process combining all OTDR results through clear go/ no-go results presented in a straightforward visual format. This OTDR-based innovation from EXFO requires very limited training and provides expert-level diagnosis, enabling technicians to identify and fix potential issues directly in the field, thus preventing costly truck rolls. For these two reasons, it has been recognized across the world for its contribution to lower deployment costs.
